 Fundraising Manager

Exciting opportunity to work with this children’s charity with the main focus to develop and implement an effective fundraising strategy that supports work with children and young people.

Your key responsibilities in this role would include developing and implementing yearly fundraising plans and monitoring progress regularly. You would work with the service and policy departments to assess funding needs and link with members of the Committee of Management in relation to any fundraising and promotional work.

You would also manage a portfolio of c.80 existing trust funders, research new trust funds, prepare applications and build relationships and research and assess the feasibility of new methods of generating income.

Additionally, you would develop and maintain effective systems to support the fundraising functions, support the communications work within the organization, play an active part in the development of the organization as a member of SMT and liaise with external designers to produce fundraising related communications including the Annual review and Supporter newsletter.

The suitable candidate would ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fundraising environment and through experience in at least 2 of these areas: trusts, events, lottery, corporate.

You would have excellent written, presentation, IT and financial skills and self reliant with the ability to work on own initiative.

Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, work with external agencies and work effectively with a multi disciplinary team are essential to the post.
